Royal Commission into the Casino Operator and Licence

Extensions for public submissions

Monday 26 April 2021 6:00am

The Royal Commission into the Casino Operator and Licence today thanked members of the public and interested organisations for making public submissions by its closing date of 4pm 26 April 2021.

The Commission confirmed it will continue to accept submissions from those who request an extension, as it has done to date.

Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission, Ms Elizabeth Langdon said that whilst the Royal Commission had short timelines for its delivery, it is important that anyone with matters to raise in relation to the Terms of Reference continues to do so.

“A number of organisations and individuals have been in contact with the Commission to make a public submission and we welcome their input.”

“The Royal Commission has been accepting public submissions since 29 March 2021, and we have provided extensions to the closing date for those who’ve requested more time.”

“We want to provide the greatest opportunity possible for people to put forward submissions,” said Ms Langdon.

Members of the public and interested organisations considering making a submission, are encouraged to do so as soon as possible, given the short timelines for the Royal Commission and the importance of being able to consider the information as part of the formal processes.

Those requiring extensions or additional support to make a submission, such as translation services, should contact the Royal Commission via contact@rccol.vic.gov.au. A contact phone number should be included for those wishing to be contacted by phone.
