Royal Commission into the Casino Operator and Licence

About public hearings

The Royal Commission commenced its public hearings on Monday 17 May 2021.

The public hearings are an important part of the investigations of the Commission, and allow it to gather information and evidence about the suitability of Crown Melbourne Limited to hold a casino licence.

The public hearings are live streamed here. The schedule for each week of hearings is updated on this web page. It is subject to variation, and the Commission may depart from it, before or during the hearings, if it considers it appropriate to do so.

From time to time the Commission will conduct closed hearings. During closed hearings only certain people that have been approved by the Commissioner will be able to attend. The Commission will not stream the closed hearing on its website and the content of the closed hearing may be redacted from the transcript.
